
The Blue Bird House (Blauwe Vogelhuis in Dutch) has 65 beds for scouts and their leaders. The building is adapted for use by disabled people (the special-need-groups in Scouting, the so-called “Blauwe Vogelgroepen”). The building is also suitable for primary school camps.
The building has an industrial kitchen in which you can cook meals for large groups. The building has every room on the ground floor: the 8 dormitories, the kitchen, the sanitary unit, (including washing machine and tumble dryer) and the common room with an open fire place, all on the same level. The common room (23 x 8 meters) can easily be divided into two rooms.
The Blauwe Vogelhuis has a fire alarm system that has a direct connection with the fire brigade. Therefore you are advised NOT to smoke inside the building, and never light a fire (except in the open fire place) or produce any kind of smoke inside.
